Steve J. Ford, 62, formerly of Allegany, New York, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Cuba Memorial Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy illness.
Born on September 30, 1963, in Patuxent, Maryland, he was a son of Raymond R. and LeAnne (Montuori) Ford, Jr.
Steve was employed a self-employed contractor and painter for many years.
He was a member of the Allegany Fire Department where he was their Junior Fire Fighters Youth Leader and Believers Chapel.
Steve loved being with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan and enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycles. Quite often he could be found walking around the Olean area or volunteering at local food banks.
He is survived by two sons Justin Ford of Allegany, Curtis Ford of South Carolina; two daughters Amber (Shawn Mead) Ford of Allegany and Elizabeth (John Vail) Ford of Olean; his grandchildren David, Caleb, and Raia; a brother Raymond R. (Connie) Ford III of Bradford; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
A Celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Believers Chapel West, 2522 W. Five Mile Road, Allegany, New York 14706, beginning at 2:00 P.M.
Burial will take place at a later date in Willow Dale Cemetery, Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
