Rose H. “Aunt Rosie” Cimbricz, 87 passed away Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Wellsville Manor Care Center surrounded by family following a lengthy illness.
Born February 10, 1939 in Belmont, she was the daughter of William V. and Rose H. Mohar Cimbricz.
Rose grew up in Friendship and had been a lifelong resident of the Friendship area. She graduated from Friendship Central School, Class of 1957.
For a period of three years, she was employed at Annie's Restaurant in Olean, and then in 1962 she began working at AVX Corp. in Olean as an assembler retiring in 2002 after 40 years. In retirement, she lovingly caring for her mother.
She enjoyed babysitting for people, especially her nieces and nephews. Rose always said to be loved by a child was life's greatest achievement and Aunt Rosie exceeded her goal- loving, caring, and of course spoiling 3 generations of her nieces and nephews that loved her immensely. When it came to aunts, Rosie was incomparable. The love she provided will continued to be passed on for all the generations to come.
She loved taking walks and enjoyed just being outdoors.
Surviving are; two Brothers Robert J. (Anita) Cimbricz of Killbuck, Richard R. (Marilyn) Cimbricz of Cleveland, North Carolina; A sister Maryanne Cimbricz of Rochester; Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a Brother William A. Cimbricz, a nephew William McKeon, a niece Sue Cimbricz, and two great nephews Sam Freeling and Zachary Freeling.
There will be no visitations or funeral.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Friendship.
Memorials may be made to the Friendship Free Library or Alzheimer’s Association.
