He is predeceased by his son, Jason Knobloch, his parents, and his brothers, Dale

Jim always enjoyed laughter and was known as a jokester. He loved to be playful with the
children in his family, known for his catch phrases and overall silliness. He was a foodie who looked
forward to making his special soups and chili every Fall. Jim possessed a strong connection to nature.
He had a unique ability to bond with animals and believed in their deep spiritual significance. He
cherished the companionship of his dogs, Molly and Bear. He felt similarly about plant life and had a
strong “green thumb”. He enjoyed gardening in any space and encouraged others by sharing his
knowledge, seeds, plants, and even his harvest.
Jim's biggest passion was music. He was a very talented musician who began his journey as a
young boy, both as a drummer and singer. He was initially drawn to Jazz, but appreciated all genres.
Most of his career was spent performing and touring with rock bands, including The Magic Ring and
Cactus. He had many adventures making connections with well-known artists such as, but not limited
to Carlos Santana, Bonnie Raitt, and Bob Seger. Jim also played in local bands at the Castle Restaurant
in Olean, New York and then later on with a cover band in Wellsville, New York.
Jim was an artist at his core. He was a creator who had strong beliefs. He was passionate,
stubborn, and unapologetically himself. He truly marched to beat of his own drum. He will be loved
and missed. At his request, there will be no services. The family is planning a Celebration of Life
picnic in his memory for a later date.
The family has entrusted his care to the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
