Beloved Mother and Grandmother

Dorothy E. Snyder, 94, of Cuba, passed away at Cuba Memorial Hospital’s skilled nursing facility after a lengthy illness.

Born on January 13, 1932, in Niagara Falls, New York, she was a daughter of John and Suzanne (Wallis) Knapp. She married Charles Anthony on August 2, 1948 who predeceased her. She then married Victor Snyder who also predeceased her.

Dorothy was a graduate of Niagara Falls Senior High School. She went on to pursue a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. While working she returned to Niagara Community College to become a Registered Nurse. She worked many years at Mount St. Mary Hospital in Lewiston prior to her retirement.

She loved to knit, write senior columns in the Cuba Patriot, and had also attended flying school. For many years she was the Vice President of the Mount St. Mary Hospital Social Club.

Dorothy is survived by her children; Patricia Clapp of Cuba, Charles Anthony of Raleigh, North Carolina, Louann Jordan of Niagara Falls, Judy Hosseini of Las Vegas, Nevada, Bonnie Fleming of Mississippi, and Dorothy Bruyn of Ohio; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by three sons John, Arthur, and David Anthony.

There will be no services held. She will be buried with her three sons.
