Born on June 25, 1932, in Cuba, she was a daughter of Henry and Mary (Clark) Manning. On June 26, 1976 she married Thomas Gehris who predeceased her.

Betty was a graduate of Cuba Central Schools Class of 1950. She had worked at Grants Department Store in Allegany, New York as a sales associate for many years prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Cuba First Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the library, loved reading, refinishing antiques, painting, crocheting, crafting, quilting, walking, and reupholstering furniture.

She is survived by a son Larry Green of Warsaw; a daughter John (Diane) Wilson of Cuba, two grandchildren Janell Wilson of Galatin, TN and Jennifer Wilson of Cuba; great grandchildren; Gabrielle, Jacob, Delaney, Samantha, and Russell; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Earl Manning and three sisters Ruth Major, Mae Treusdell, and Laura Gordon.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, CUBA, on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon at which time a Funeral Service will begin in the Funeral Home. Pastor Claudia Little will officiate.

Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery, Town of New Hudson, New York.
