William C. Exton, 79, of 4587 Townline Rd., Cuba, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at home with his family at his side after a lengthy illness.
Born on December 5, 1945, in Rochester, he was a son of Reginald “Jack” and Marjorie “Charlie” (Ellis) Exton. On May 23, 1987, in the Livonia Methodist Church, he married the former Linda L. Pierce who survives.
After graduation Bill served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1965-68. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
After he was discharged, he worked Construction for Showcase Homes in Hemet, California, prior to his retirement, but continued helping people with odd jobs. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Western movies on TV.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by a son, William C. (Lisa) Exton, Jr. of Georgia; a daughter, Amee (Sanjay) Jada of Florida; his grandchildren, Marilyn, Cameron, Hunter, David, and Aryel; a brother, Michael (June) Roberts of Honeoye Falls, NY;
a sister, Kristin Exton of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date and will be announced.
He will be laid to rest at Bath National Cemetery, Bath, New York.
