Tyler M. Griffin, 30, of 23 Genesee Street, Cuba, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Olean General Hospital after a long hard fight with cystinosis.
Born on August, 12, 1990, in Wurzburg, Germany, he was a son of Michael T. Griffin and Amy S. Lester.
Tyler was a graduate of Cuba Rushford Central School Class of 2008. He later graduated from Ohio Technical College with a Certificate of Welding degree.
He was a member of the Sons of the Portville American Legion Post 814.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, dirt bikes and anything outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, friends, his dog Zman, and his special nephew Jax. He will be remembered for being a great inspiration to everyone, a huge Buccaneers fan and his love for staying physically fit working out.
He is survived by his mother, Amy S. Lester of Cuba; his father, Michael T. Griffin of Portville; two sisters, Shaina (Adam Simons) Griffin and Brianna Green both of Cuba; maternal grandparents, Judy (Fred) Page of Cuba; paternal grandparents, Donald (Lynda) Griffin of Portville; an uncle, John (Sandi) Griffin of Portville; aunts, Kari (Kirk) Unverdorben of Portville, Teri Pettit of Belmont, Carin (Bill) Witherell of Georgia, Francine Foltz of Niagara Falls and Alisha (Ray) Giardini of Florida; and several cousins.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Services, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 5-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Bryan Garrett will officiate.
