Timothy M. "Bo" Swift
Loving Father and Friend
Timothy M. "Bo" Swift, 54, of 5239 Maple Lane, Cuba, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 14, 2010 shortly after arrival at Olean General Hospital.

Born on April 18, 1956, in Cuba, New York, he was a son of William Andrew and Anna Gifford Swift.

Tim, better known as "Bo" was a graduate of the former Cuba Central School Class of 1975 where he played football, basketball, and track.

Bo was employed by the Town of Cuba Highway Department prior to retiring due to illness. He also helped to run the Swift family farm with his parents and siblings.

He was a member of the Thursday Night Horseshoe League, St. James Hotel poker club, and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 655 of Cuba.

Mr. Swift enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting, ice fishing, golf, maple syrup production, gardening, and the Kopper Keg Morning Breakfast Club.

Surviving are his three children, Shadd (Karla) Lee of Oseola, Pa., Shannon (Matthew) Young of Florence, SC., and Devinn (Michael) Warren of Rochester; seven grandchildren; four brothers, William J. (Mary) Swift of Cuba, John R. Swift of Rochester, James (Marcia) Swift of Moscow, Idaho, and Thomas Swift of Cuba; one sister Karen Swift Dennis of West Clarksville; several nieces, nephews; and many close friends. The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St. Cuba, New York 14727 on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon at which time funeral services will be held. Fr. Jerome M. Dissek, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Cuba.
