Thomas Robert Flower
Beloved Father and Grandfather
Thomas Robert Flower, 64, of 70 Spring Street, Cuba passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy illness.

Born on April 23, 1950, in Cuba, New York he was a son of Robert "Bob" and Dorthy J. Washburn Flower.

Tom was a graduate of Cuba Central School. He was employed by Sterilator Company of Cuba prior to retiring due to illness.

He was a life member of the Cuba Fire Department where served as Fire Chief from 1987-1989 and was fireman of the year in 1992. He was also a driver for the Cuba Ambulance Squad.

He loved to hunt, golf, cook, was a skilled craftsman, and enjoyed making maple syrup. His favorite past time was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Kevin (Kristie) Flower of Salisbury, MD; two daughters, Tanya (Shaun) Smith of Owego, and Kelly (Brett) Luckey of Binghamton; was "Papa" to his seven loving grandchildren Karly, Cody, Dylan, Tyler, Connor, Jack, and Jillian; a brother, Kenneth Flower of Cuba; a sister, Cathy Flower-Schleigh of West Henrietta; his finance, Paula Broadwell of Cuba; the mother of his children Geraldine Osgood Flower of Binghamton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Robert H. Scott.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Sunday November 2, 2014 from Noon until 3:00 P.M. at which time Members of Cuba Fire Department will conduct a prayer service. A time of sharing will be held at that time.
