Sophia Danielle Lynne Jackson, 15, of Cuba, New York, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital, with family by her side.
Born on August 21, 2009, in Wellsville, she was a daughter of Sherry Guyett.
Sophia was a ninth grader at Cuba-Rushford Central School and was proud to achieve high honor roll. In school, her favorite subjects were science and social studies. She especially enjoyed a recent class trip to the World War II Museum in Eldred.
Sophia enjoyed listening to music especially Stray Kids, Pink, BTS, and Lori. Her emotional support animal, Chevy, was a great help throughout her illness. She found comfort in talking about her poppa David Vennard who passed a year ago.
Sophia learned to crochet in the library. She loved singing, laughing, taking walks with her nanny, creating diamond art, watching movies, and using her tablet. She always wanted her family to be together to share dinner at the table.
Sophia is survived by her mother Sherry (James Vennard) Guyett of Cuba; her siblings James R. Vennard, Jr., Alexa P.M. Vennard, and Raelynn M.M. Vennard all at home; Her maternal grandmother Tammy Guyett of Cuba, maternal great grandmother Shirley Wilson of Cuba; great grandmother Joyce Kilbury of Dansville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, a great aunt, and her best friend Kayla Kaiser.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Frederick E. Guyett and David Vennard.
There will be no services at this time.
