Clarksville- S. Michael LaFever, of 8846 County Road 5, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday (July 20, 2025).
Born July 24, 1940, in Olean, he was the son of Sidney G. and Mildred Childs LaFever. On September 19, 1959, he married the former Sandra J. Kamery, who survives.
Mike graduated from Portville Central School, class of 1959. He worked for Fibercel in Portville before starting his own business, LaFever and Sons Excavating and Trucking Company in Bolivar.
He was a member of the Cuba Global Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the NRA.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by; two sons, Timothy (Cindy) LaFever and Gregory (Tammy) LaFever; six grandchildren, Charissa Currier, Tim (Kelly) LaFever, Stephanie (Rebecca) LaFever, Lauren (Alex) Hitchcock, Carley LaFever, and Connor LaFever; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Edwards and one brother, Richard LaFever.
Mike was predeceased by; two sons, infant Christopher LaFever and Tracy LaFever; and one sister, Nancy Wagner.
At his request, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in West Genesee Cemetery, Obi.
