Born on June 10, 1958, in Wellsville, she was a daughter of Kenneth and Alice Hazel Werts.

Shirley was currently employed as a School Crossing Guard in the Village of Cuba, helping children get to school safely for over 20 years.

She was a member of the Cuba American Legion Post 655 Auxiliary, the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 Auxiliary of Cuba, and a social member of the Cuba VFW Post 2721. She enjoyed word searches, all of the dogs she raised over the years, and her lifetime TV shows. She loved spending time with her grand kids.

She is survived by her loving companion of 26 years Terry Perry of Cuba; her children, Susan (Jason) Coats of Tennessee, Kathy Everly of Pennsylvania, Cindy Babcock of North Carolina, Steven Everly of Michigan, Jonas (Ashley) Perry of Rushford, and Joshua Perry of Kentucky; several grandchildren; a brother, George Werts of Olean; a sister, Jean Collins of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Jonathan D. Ward, will officiate.
