Scott L. Baker, 51, of 8942 County Road 5, West Clarksville passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at home.
Born on June 28, 1970, in Cuba, he was a son of Raymond L. and Rebecca L. Childs Baker. On March 19, 1996, in West Clarksville, he married the former Jo Anne N. Baxter who survives.
Scott was a graduate of Portville Central School Class of 1988. After graduation he worked thirteen years at Fibercel in Portville. He was currently employed, the last 20 years, as a Power Plant Operator for Alliance Energy in Fillmore, New York.
He enjoyed working on cars, especially Pontiac Grand Prix’s, loved attending concerts and listening to music, as well as playing the drums. Just lately he enjoyed karaoke. He was a very social person and always enjoyed spending time with his friends.
In addition to his wife Jo Anne of West Clarksville, he is survived by a son, Scott L. Baker, Jr. and two daughters Brooke Baker and Hayley Baker all of West Clarksville; 3 brothers, R. Kieth (Linda) Baker of Sun City, Florida, David J. Baker of Sun City, Florida and Gregg (Cheryl) Baker of Bolivar; 2 sisters, Yvonne (Rick) Hunt of Portville and Laura Mix-Rutherford of Alabama;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 2-4 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Alan Yates will officiate.
