Scott H. Osgood, 64, of Cuba, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2021 at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born on October 19, 1957, in Olean, he was a son of Charles Ted and Phyllis M. Davis Osgood. On September 15, 2001, in Houghton, he married the former Patti Smith who survives.

Scott started school in Belfast and later transferred to Fillmore Central School from which he graduated.

After high school his career started with Cuba Cheese Co when it was located in the basement of the Cuba Cheese Shoppe, and was still currently employed by Great Lakes Cheese as a Warehouse Lead.

Scott was an avid bowler and bowled in leagues in Wellsville, Belmont, and Olean. He enjoyed golfing and watching all kinds of sports on TV, with some of his favorite teams being the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Florida Gators.

In addition to his wife, Patti, he is survived by a brother, Kevin (Cindy) Osgood of Chittenango, NY; an uncle, Dean (Bonnie) Davis of Bolivar; numerous cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Sheryl Osgood on December 24, 1992.

Friends may gather at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. and again on Sunday, December 12 from 1-2 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Dr. Wesley Oden, will officiate.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
