Sarah L. Metz, 69, of 4 Stone Street, Cuba, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at home after a brief illness.
Born on February 5, 1946, in Salamanca, she was a daughter of Arthur and Marjorie Lester.

| She was a graduate of Cuba High School. She had been employed by Daltile in Olean as a press operator retiring in 2000 after 30 years of service.
She enjoyed gardening, maintaining her home, Yankees baseball, and spending time with her grand daughter.
Surviving are two sons, Shawn (Audra) Metz of Delray Beach, Florida, and Jeffrey Metz of Friendship; three grandchildren Julia Metz, Daniel Metz, and Christopher Metz; Longtime friend Robert Dutton of Hinsdale; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three brothers William Lester, Lawrence Lester, and John Lester.
Family and Friends are invited to attend graveside committal services on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York. The Rev. Dennis J.J. Mancuso will officiate.
