Born on May 9, 1967, in Cuba, he was a son of Howard and Ruth Brown Lockwood. On August 18, 2001 he married the former Tina Baldwin who survives.

Sam attended Cuba Central School and later received his GED. He had worked for Genesee Metals, Reiss Tree Farms, and Deming Electroplating prior to becoming ill.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and walking in the woods. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his Wife Tina his children, Tiffany (John) Weatherley of Ashboro, NC, Brittany (Ethan) Holdridge of West Clarksville and Micheal Lockwood of Cuba; six grandchildren, Kassidee, Hayley, Jayden, Blake, Bentley, and Liam; his father, Howard Lockwood of Belfast; a brother, Alan (Jane) Lockwood of Belfast; two sisters, Joyce Proctor and Mary Ann (Rick) Lockwood both of Belfast; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11 A.M. The Rev. Becky Worth, pastor of Cuba United Methodist Church will officiate.
