Sally R. Sexton Harmon
Loving Wife Mother, and Grandmother
Sally R. Sexton Harmon, 81, of 114 Dean Street Bolivar, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Cuba Memorial Hospitals Palliative Care unit after a lengthy illness.

Born on May 19, 1940, in Bolivar, she was a daughter of Fred and Wilma Ackerman Bartlett. In 1959, she married Leonard Sexton who preceded her in death in 2000. On October 3, 2003 she married Richard L. “Dick” Harmon who survives.

Sally was a graduate of Bolivar Central School Class of 1958 and the Rochester Business Institute.

She worked at Clark Brothers in Olean for several years but then went to work for Bolivar Central School (now Bolivar Richburg Central School) as secretary to the Guidance Counselor and prior to her retirement.

Sally was a member of Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee and Bayless Highway Baptist Church in Stark, Florida.

Sally loved tole painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Steven (Christina) Sexton of Ringgold Georgia, Dawn (Bradley) Herne of Little Genesee, Jeffrey (Jill) Harmon, Randy (Lorraine) Harmon and Vicki Foust all of Bolivar; several grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband Leonard, she was predeceased by a son Bart Sexton in 2006, a sister Diana Wilkinson, a brother Fred Bartlett, Jr., and a grandson Sheldon Harmon.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 2-3 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. David Herne will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, New York.
