Rockie L. Stuck
Loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle

Rockie L. Stuck, 75, of 3408 County Road 8, Town of Wirt, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at home.

Born on December 9, 1948, in Cuba, New York, he was a son of Robert and Glenita Foster Stuck.

Rockie was a graduate of Bolivar Central Schools Class of 1967. Upon graduation he entered the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War from January 31, 1969 until being discharged October 19, 1970.

He had worked for a short period of time for Clark Brothers in Olean. He then went to work for various telephone companies while living in Santa Fe, Texas and retired from Verizon after 30 years of service.

Rockie was a member of the Friendship American Legion Post 1168. He enjoyed collecting guns, woodworking, tinkering and Classic Rock music to include the Beatles, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, to name a few.

Surviving are his children, Melissa (Anthony) Garcia of Charlotte, NC, and Sean Stuck of Key West, FL; a grandson, Grey Garcia of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Connie (Gary) Taylor of Little Genesee; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Rusty Stuck in 1975.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 South Main Street, Bolivar, on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 2-4 P.M. at which time a Celebration of Life Service will be held. The Rev. Dawn Quesenberry, will officiate. Full Military honors will be accorded by members of the Morrison Hayes Post 702 American Legion, Wellsville.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
