Born on July 7, 1968, in Wellsville, he was a son of Lawrence and Patricia Childs Learn, Sr. On March 28, 1992, in Blackcreek, he married the former Shelley L. Vogel who survives.

He was a graduate of Bolivar Central Schools Class of 1987. He had worked for various farms throughout the years. He was currently employed as a forklift operator for Fitzpatrick and Weller in Ellicottville.

Ricky was the jokester of the family and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR, and listening to music. Hunting season was always a favorite of his because all of his family was together.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Patricia Learn of Bolivar; his children, Brooke (Billy Buddell) Learn of Cuba, Ricki Reanee (Justin Ostrander) Learn of Allegany, Courtney Learn of Cuba, and Kayla (Brad) Barber of Belfast; his grandchildren, Marley, Kynlee, Landyn, Skeyelar, Jacob, Lydia, Owen, Aubrey, Elaina, Maverick, and Alora; a brother, Larry (Ang) Learn of Delevan; 3 sisters, Sandra (Bruce) White of Andover, Laurie Tuttle of Attica and Rebecca (Jason) Folts of Yorkshire; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and is dogs, Bob and Gus.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a son Derek Vogel who passed at birth, a sister and brother-in-law Wendy (Don) Folts, his father and mother-in-law David (Linda) Vogel Sr., and his dogs Koda and Charlie.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from Noon until 3 P.M. A Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Pastor Claudia Little, will officiate.
