Rebecca L. Secrist, 53, of 7955 North Branch Road, Friendship, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2022 at Olean General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born on November 11, 1968, in Salamanca, New York she was a daughter of Benjamin and Mary Frazier Baker.
She had worked as a waitress at the Village Café in Franklinville before retiring due to health issues.
She loved spending time with her family and her life was centered around her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing craft work and collecting unicorns, dolphins, and care bears. Her favorite color was purple.
She is survived by a son, Mark Secrist of Little Genesee; 3 daughters, Amanda (Jermaine Butts) Secrist of Indiana, Dezarea Struble of Indiana and Tamara Sayres of Salamanca; several grandchildren; her longtime loving companion, Darryl Prieur, Sr. of Friendship; 3 brothers, Benjamin (Sherry) Baker II of New Mexico, Steven (Cheryl) Baker of Chaffee and Jeff (Anna) Baker of Lyndon;
a sister, Teresa (John) Hopkins of Little Genesee; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Robert Baker.
Friends will be received at the Genesee Library, 8351 Rte 417, Little Genesee, NY 14754 on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 5-9 P.M. for a Celebration of Rebecca’s life.
