Randall P. Carpenter

Randall P. Carpenter, 70, of 176 Oakland Drive, Cairo, Georgia and formerly of Warsaw, New York went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 5, 2015 after a lengthy illness.

Born on October 31, 1944, in Titusville, PA he was a son of E. Ralph and Louise Christy Carpenter. On September 2, 1967, in the Silver Creek Wesleyan Church he married the former Charleen Foster who survives.

Mr. Carpenter was a graduate of Randolph Central School, Roberts Wesleyan College, and the Elim Bible Institute where he became an ordained minister.

He was very proud of his military service serving in the Marine Corps from October 3, 1963 until August 26, 1969. He played baritone in the 2nd Marine Corps Air Wing Band for a short time and then was a private secretary to General Victor H. Krulak.

Randall was the pastor at several Free Methodist Churches in the area and was founder of the Full Gospel Community Church of Warsaw, which today is the Family Life Church of Warsaw. He and his wife drove semi together throughout the United States traveling and spending time with each other.

His interests included playing chess, and reading and studying history.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Rodney Carpenter of Philadelphia, and Charles (Kimberly) Carpenter of Hugo, Minnesota; a brother, Ralph (Margie) Carpenter of Richmond, Indiana; a sister, Fern Bennett of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers Maurice, Glenn, and Richard Carpenter; and two sisters Alice Adams and Beth Carpenter whom died in infancy.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the North Park Wesleyan Church, 32 Spring Street, Cuba, New York 14727. The Rev. Hayden Bennett and a close friend of the family Joseph Frank will officiate.

Burial will be in Black Creek Cemetery, Town of New Hudson.

Memorials if desired may be made to Gideon's International or to a charity of the donors choice.
