Nelia J. Ludden, age 90, passed away Saturday, December 18th in Cuba, NY, where she was a longtime resident. She was born June 4, 1931, in Potter County Pennsylvania. She was the eldest daughter of Carney and Edith Lloyd. After just six months of dating, on September 5, 1959, she married Charles E. Ludden, who preceded her in death September 2, 1999.
Nelia was a homemaker and enjoyed reading the bible. She was an incredible baker and would make homemade bread, cinnamon buns, pie crust and biscuits from recipes from memory which would only kick in if she was in the mood to bake.
Eldest sister to Phil, George, Carney, Jr. and Esther Gross, who all preceded her in death. She is remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Mother of Lloyd Ludden, Cuba, NY; Lori Karst, Olean, NY; Lois Young, Wake Forest, NC; Valerie Minick, Gainesville, VA, and predeceased by her loving daughter, Barbara Ramsey, who oversaw her care for the years leading up to her untimely death.
Grandmother of Cristy Botens, Nicole and Timothy Karst, Darren Young, Tara and Skylar Minick. Great Grandmother to Alexander, Nolan and Clayton.
There will be no services at this time. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the skilled nursing unit at Cuba Memorial Hospital where she lived her last years of life and received exceptional care.
