Nancy A. Bixby
Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother
Nancy A. Bixby, 79, of 6445 Habgood Rd., Black Creek, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at ECMC after a lengthy illness.

Born on March 23, 1942, in Cuba, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Betty Long Ferris. On December 29, 1962 she married Harold L. Bixby in the West Clarksville Baptist Church.

Nancy was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1960. After high school she worked as a secretary for several years at ACME Electric where she met her husband. After being married she was a waitress for Moonwinks for several years before going to work for Market Basket as a cashier from which she retired. She had owned a Bakery on Main Street in Cuba and later a craft store in Olean.

She enjoyed knitting.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Lauri (Darryl) Cline of Belfast and Cheryl (Darryl) Blake of Cuba; 4 grandchildren Keith and Kevin Cline and Levi and Taylor Blake; a brother, Robert Cheryl Ferris of Kansas; a sister, Jane Ferris of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for both Harold and Nancy at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 6-9 P.M. where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Wayne Hart, pastor of West Clarksville Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Houghton, New York.

Memorials may be made to the West Clarksville Baptist Church, 9003 County Rd. 5, Bolivar, NY 14715.
