Mildred Louise Stuck
Loving Mother and Grandmother
Mildred Louise Stuck, 91, formerly of 6832 County Road 20, Friendship, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Elderwood Village, Greece, where she had resided for the past several years.

Born on August 2, 1931, in Shinglehouse, she was a daughter of Robert and Ethel Reese Rockefeller. On April 15, 1949, in Friendship, she married Donald A. Stuck, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 15, 2007.

Mildred was a graduate of Scio Central School Class of 1948.

She had worked for Acme Electric Corp. from 1967-71 and after that was employed by Market Basket as cashier for 17 years prior to her retirement in 1993.

Mildred enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, sewing and making dresses for her daughters and making jackets for her sons, playing piano, and in her later years enjoyed staying connected to family and friends over the computer. She was also an avid Yankees Fan and never liked being interrupted while they were playing.

She is survived by 4 sons, Donald A. (Debbie) Stuck Jr. of Tennessee, Ronald A. Stuck of Friendship, Larry W. (Linda) Stuck of Williamsville, NY and Terry L. (Andrea) Stuck of North Carolina, 3 daughters, Sally S. (Jerry) Gildner-Coder of Portville, Linda L. (Robert) Payne of California and Cheri L. (Tom) Ellison of Greece; a foster son, Dale Ferry of Texas; 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother-in-law Douglas (Linda) Stuck of Friendship; sister-in-law, Lillian Blouvet of Friendship and Joyce Forrest of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother and sister in law Wayland (Barbara) Rockefeller.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 4-7 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. The Rev. Rebecca Worth, pastor of the Friendship United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial and graveside services will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship, New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an Alzheimer’s charity of the donor’s choice.
