Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Son
Michael J. Fields, 52, of 347 Johnson Hollow Rd, Town of Cuba, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 4, 2013 at home.

Born on April 12, 1960, in Cuba, NY he was a son of Howard W. and Delores Cooper Fields. On January 5, 2013, in Cuba, NY he married the former Penny S. Boser who survives.

Mr. Fields was a graduate of Belfast Central School Class of 1979.

He had worked for the New York State Department of Transportation as a low boy truck driver and heavy equipment operator, Benjamin Truck Service of Limestone, and was currently employed as a truck driver for West Side Sales of Cuba.

Mike was a member of the Oramel Vol. Tier Fire Company, the Robert Howden American Legion Post 1504 Sons, and the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 Sons.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and liked watching NASCAR and Football. He was an avid coon hunter and belonged to the UKC and PKC Dog Clubs.

He is survived by his parents, Howard and Delores Fields of Belfast; his wife, Penny S. Fields of Cuba; a son, Shaun (Kelly) Fields of Belfast; a daughter, Sarah Fields of Belfast; a stepson, Robert Jones of Olean; two stepdaughters, Michelle Boser of Cuba, and Amanda Jones of Hinsdale; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Debra Mahon and Linda (Danny) King both of Zephryhills, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Jonathan D. Ward, pastor of North Park Wesleyan Church, will officiate.
