Born on April 27, 1951, in Cuba, he was a son of Dale and Gladys Hosmer Sharp. On January 13, 1979, in Olean, he marred the former Anita M. Franz who survives.

Mike was a graduate of Allegany High School Class of 1969, he then entered the United States NAVY serving from 1969-1972.

After his military service he began working for Acme Electric Corp. in Allegany and then Cuba holding various positions throughout the years, but retired as a shipping clerk after 32 years.

He was a life member of the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company and the Cuba American Legion Post 655. He enjoyed refurbishing old Wheel Horse Tractors and watching the Buffalo Bills.

In addition to his wife, Anita, he is survived by 3 sons, Christopher (Fiancé Lyndsay Patton) Sharp, Dennis Sharp and Scott Sharp all of Clarksville; 4 grandchildren, William Sharp, Grant Sharp, Carlee Sharp, and Maddox Sharp; 2 sisters, Dail Ellis of Myrtle Beach, SC and Linda (Greg) Kellogg of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Gerald Sharp and a sister Wendy Hughes.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
