Mrs. Fitzgerald graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in English. She taught English languages in her younger years. She later worked at Farnsworth Cookies prior to her retirement.
She lived in West Clarksville all of her married life. Moving in 2007 to Brooklyn to be with her daughter.
Mrs. Fitzgerald loved her dogs, walking, exercising, and will be remembered for always having a cheerful outlook on life. She especially enjoyed the time she spent at the family camp in Pennsylvania.
Surviving Mrs. Fitzgerald are a son-in-law Jack Keaveny of Brooklyn, a sister Beverly Nichols, of Stamford CT, a brother in law Thomas (Jane) Fitzgerald of New Florence, PA and Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Diedra Keaveny who died August 23, 2009, a brother in law Walter C. Fitzgerald and a sister in law Jean Chiochette.
At. Mrs. Fitzgerald's request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Private burial and committal services will be at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in West Clarksville Cemetery, Town of Clarksville, New York.
