Max V. Ingalls
Loving Husband and Father
Max V. Ingalls, 67, of 5387 Hammond Road, Cuba passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 24, 2014 at home.

Born on October 30, 1946, in Cuba New York he was a son of Elton B. and Helen M. Farwell Ingalls. On December 5, 1970, in Cuba he married the former Jeroldine L. Warner who survives.

Max was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1964. He then enlisted in the United States Army serving from July 10, 1967 until being honorably discharged on July 9, 1969.

After serving in the military Max began his career with the New York State Police. After working in Norwich for five years he was able to transfer to the Wellsville Barracks, then the Fillmore Barracks, and finished his career working in the Allegany Barracks retiring in 1990. After retiring from the New York State Police, Max went to work for the Cuba-Rushford School District where he was a custodian and substitute bus driver working another ten years before retiring.

He was a member of the Senior Men's Golf League and the Shawn M. Clemens Memorial AmVets Post 1 of Cuba. He also golfed on Mondays with his close friends Pete, Jim, and Walt. Max was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and especially the yearly trip to Mexico. He loved his canine companions Teddy and Jack.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Regina (Paul Astalos) Houston-Dennis of Black Creek; his father-in-law, Jerold C. Warner of Cuba; his sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Tom) Botens of Lantana Texas, Cynthia (Carey) Litteer of Hinsdale, and Pearl (Pete Peterson) Slowleigh of Portville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Max V. Ingalls II; and a sister Barbara Sue Ingalls.

Friends will be received that the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Larry A. Poelma, pastor the First Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.

Memorials if desired may be to charity of the donors choice.
