Loving Mother and Grandmother
Mary C. Wilday, 96, a resident of Eden Heights for the last six years and formerly of Cuba Lake and Olean passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016.

Born on February 27, 1920, in Olean she was a daughter of Charles Paul and Genevieve Babcock Clark. Mary was a graduate of St. Elizabeth's School in Allegany and later from William Smith College.

On March 5, 1944 in Olean New York she married Lt. George Washburn Bradley who predeceased her on July 13, 1945 of injuries sustained in a landing accident on le Shima while serving his country. On November 30, 1946 she married Ward G. Wilday who she was devoted to for the next 63 years until his passing on July 31, 2009.

As a longtime member of the Olean and Cuba Communities she was highly regarded as a leader and volunteer working tirelessly alongside her husband. She was active as a volunteer for the Olean General Hospital Auxiliary and the Salvation Army.

Mary, along with her husband, was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Olean serving in many roles including, Sunday School Teacher. She was a lifelong member of both the Cuba Yacht Club and the Bartlett Country Club where she was an avid bridge player. She was also a member of the Wing Ski Club and Holimont Ski Club. In her younger years she enjoyed sailing and skiing.

Mary's life focus was her family. She was lovingly devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Ward C. "Skip" (Greta) Wilday of Cuba; two daughters, Paula Chisholm of Venice, FL, and Cynthia (Stephen Jr.) Ebsary of East Amherst, NY; her grandchildren Courtney, Oksana, and Trek Wilday, Tim (Shenshen) Ebsary, Bill (Melanie) Ebsary, Robin (John) Herbon, and Beth (Jim) Woods; nine great grandchildren; and two nephews Paul Clark and James Clark both of Texas.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was predeceased by a daughter Sara E. Bradley on June 30, 2009, A grand daughter Kaleigh Wilday on September 25, 2002, a brother Charles Clark, and son in law Paul Chisholm on March 15, 2016.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 3-4 P.M. after which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Alexandra Freer, New Ministries Specialist at Cuba First Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean, New York.
