Marjorie N. Luzier, 81, of Cuba passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Cuba Memorial Hospital's Palliative Care Unit after a brief illness.

Born on April 14, 1936, in Olean, she was a daughter of Frank and Elsie Schabel Corthell. In April of 1954 she married Robert Luzier who predeceased her in 2006.

She was a graduate of Hinsdale Central School Class of 1953. She was employed by Acme Electric of Cuba most of her career before moving to Elgin, South Carolina where she worked for Blaney Daycare Center as a daycare assistant prior to her retirement. She and her husband then returned to live in Cuba.

Marjorie was a member of the Ischua Union Church where she participated in their Ladies Aide Group and the Ischua Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Loren (Denise) Luzier of Cuba; a daughter, Patricia "Patti" Hunt of Hinsdale; six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by a daughter Roberta Brown in 2015 and two sisters Orpha Gilbert and Janet Emerson.

There will be a Memorial Service held at the Ischua Union Church, 5623 Route 16, Ischua on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Monroe Bishop, will officiate.

Burial will be in Carpenter Hill Road Cemetery, Ischua, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Ischua Union Church or to the Ischua Volunteer Fire Department.
