Born on December 22, 1934, in Olean, she was a daughter of James E. “Jack” and Sarah Louise Hyatt Rowe.

Marilyn attended Portville Central School and resided there until 1994 at which time she moved to Olean. While living in Olean she attended the Linwood Center at Christ United Church. She then moved to Cattaraugus for several years and eventually made Randolph her home. While living in Cattaraugus and Randolph she attended the Ellington Day Hab Program.

She had a talent of being able to play any song on the piano by ear, after hearing just once.

She is survived by a brother, James B. Rowe of Portville; a sister, Marcia (Rex) McIntosh of Ocala, Florida; 3 brother in laws, W. Carl “Pete” Bowker of Portville, Charles Hildebrand of Fountain Inn, South Carolina and Raymond Roulo of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters Frances (Jack) Champlin, Jacqueline “Jackie” Bowker, Carol (William) Peace-Altman, Marie Hildebrand, and Joyce Roulo.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Stan Scoville, Chaplin of Home Care and Hospice, will officiate.

Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Portville, New York.
