Marianne G. (Maggie) Scott
SILVER SPRINGS, FLORIDA – Marianne ‘Maggie’ Scott, 72 passed away peacefully after a long illness at TimberRidge Nursing Home in Ocala, Florida on Sunday, March 5, 2023.
She was born on February 18, 1951 in Cuba, NY and was the daughter of Virginia and Morris Scott and raised by her grandparents, Helen and Emery Peterson.
Maggie attended Cuba Central School and graduated from Colonial High School in Orlando, Florida. She was a waitress in various restaurants and when she moved to Toronto, Ontario Canada, she became a bus and subway driver for Toronto Transit Authority. After her retirement she moved to Silver Springs, Florida.
Maggie loved doing crafts and selling her baked goods, chocolates, and crafts at various shows. She really loved her cats and had many of them throughout the years.
She is survived by her sister Sue Scott from Cuba; a son, Richard Rossman of Smithville; Ontario, and her stepmother Ann Scott also from Cuba; and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents and a sister.
There will be no service.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
Arrangements will be handled by Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
