Loren P. Luzier, 62, of 6878 Mt. Monroe Rd., New Hudson, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at home.

Born on September 11, 1956, in Olean, New York he was a son of Robert and Marjorie Corthell Luzier. On October 1, 1977, in Belfast, New York, he married the former Denise C. Totten who survives.

Loren was a graduate of Cuba Central School Class of 1975.p> While living in South Carolina he owned and operated his own Auto Body Repair Shop. When returned to the area be worked for the Town of New Hudson Highway Department where he eventually became Highway Superintendent. He was currently employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Town of Centerville.

He was a longtime member of the New Hudson Fire Company and was currently the First Assistant Chief and was New Hudson Fire Company's representative to the Allegany County Fire Advisory Board.

He enjoyed hunting, spending time in the outdoors, woodcrafts, and sports including NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife Denise of New Hudson; a son, Drew Luzier of Winslow, Arizona; a daughter, Abigail J. Luzier of Cuba; a sister, Patricia "Patty" Hunt of Hinsdale; several nieces and nephews; and his grand dogs Taz, Willow, and Haus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Roberta Brown.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 6-9 P.M. and on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 10-11:00 A.M. at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Becky Worth, will officiate.

Members of New Hudson Fire Company will have a prayer service Wednesday Evening at 7 P.M. in the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Bellville Cemetery, Town of New Hudson.
