Lois J. Andrews, 87, formerly of 142 N. 11th Street, Olean, and Cuba New York, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Olean General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born on September 25, 1926, in Wellsville, NY she was a daughter of Edward and Bessie Franklin Sherman. On June 25, 1955, in the First Baptist Church of Cuba she married Richard "Dick" Andrews who predeceased her.

| Lois graduated from the Rochester School for the Deaf and then went to work for ACME Electric Corp of Cuba as an Inserter Machine Operator for 29 years.
She was a member of the Southwestern Association for the Deaf and a former member of Alpha Lutheran Church. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch and going on cruises with her husband.
Surviving are her special friends, Sue Scott of Cuba, Helen Shoup of Frewsburg, Alice Buck of Randolph, Ralph and Tony Kasperski of Olean, and Eleanor Baribault.
At Lois' request there will be no funeral services. It was her wish that her friends would pray for her.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Belfast, New York.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
