Lindsey A. Gross Beloved Father and Grandfather

Lindsey A. Gross, 99 formerly of 9040 Gross Rd, Cuba passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Cuba Memorial Hospitals Palliative Care Unit after a brief illness.
Born on November 13, 1914, in Cuba, New York he was a son of Wesley L. and Florence Lindsey Gross. On July 14, 1940 in Richburg, NY he married the former Helen M. Greene who predeceased him on August 8, 2002.

Lindsey was a graduate of the former Cuba Central School. Gross road was named after his family who moved in 1897 to the farmhouse on that road. Lindsey lived on Gross Rd for 94 years.
He ran Pleasant Valley Dairy with his family, worked a milk route for a period of years, and also worked for Acme Electric where he retired as a supervisor for over 40 years. He enjoyed farming, making bird houses and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Lee (Ann) Gross of Cuba, and Diane (Sid) Emmons of Cuba; his grandsons, Casey L. (Melissa) Gross and Bradley O. Gross; and a granddaughter Amy L. (Merle) Hequembourg Emmons; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his siblings Wesley Gross, Urban Gross, Gertrude Cline, Rhea Koeple, and Ida Burdick.
At Lindseys request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Burial will be in the Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
