Kimball “Kim” Burt Campbell
Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather
Kimball “Kim” Burt Campbell, 82, of 8787 Jackson Hill Rd., Cuba, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Olean General Hospital after a long illness.

Born on January 20, 1940, in Cuba, he was the son of Rufus C. and Helen M. Burt Campbell. On August 18, 1962, at the Christian Temple Church in Wellsville, he married the former Sharon L. Faber, who survives.

Kim was a graduate of Cuba Central School, Class of 1958. Upon completion, he volunteered for the draft and joined the Army that summer. He served as a Specialist 4 in the 26th Field Artillery Regiment, from August 1958 until being honorably discharged in August 1964.

After his military service, he worked at Guilford Dairy in Cuba and sold tools for several years. In 1972, he purchased his uncle Robert Campbell’s farm and later bought part of what had been his father’s farm. He was a lifelong dairy farmer as well as a lifelong maple syrup producer following a long family tradition that began in 1822. In addition to dairy farming, he drove a school bus for Cuba-Rushford Central School for 30-plus years and especially enjoyed driving the special education students.

When he wasn’t working, he was enjoying coffee with friends and family at the Kopper Keg, watching Monday Night Football with the gang, leading his friends to NASCAR races in Michigan and other states, and bowling for over 40 years. He also was a proud member of his community, serving on the Cuba Town Board for several years. He was also a member of Amvets and Cuba VFW Post 2721.

Kim was very proud of his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. He will be remembered as kind, outgoing and friendly, expressing his approval and opinion loudly, but always with that big smile on his face.

In addition to his wife of 60 years Sharon, he is survived by: his Children, Sherry (Brian Lewandowski) Campbell of Lancaster, Kay Mushill of Pickerington, Ohio, and Chad (Tonya) Campbell of Cuba; his grandchildren Kyle (fiancé Emily Lein) Mushill, Maddison (Drew) Mushill-Smith, Jarrett, Conner, and Carsen Campbell, and his great-grandchildren Liam and Luke Smith; and sister-in-law, Sharon Older Campbell of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother James Campbell and a son-in-law Patrick Mushill.

Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, for a Memorial Visitation on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
