Judith A. “Judy” Gross, 81, of 3 Windsor Street, Cuba, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at Cuba Memorial Hospitals Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy illness.
Born on June 20, 1940, in Grant Town, West Virginia, she was a daughter of Anthony and Wanda Speck Harris. On December 8, 1961, in Alexandria, Virginia she married Douglas A. Gross who survives.
Judy was a graduate of Fairview High School and Fairmont Business College, Fairmont, West Virginia.
She had been employed all of her life as a secretarial clerk/typist. She had worked for Present Company in Olean, Unimart in Cuba, and retired from Rinker Oil Gas Station.
Judy was very family oriented and loved caring for her family.
In addition to her husband Douglas, she is survived by 2 sons, Douglas Gross, Jr. of South Carolina and David Gross of Salamanca; a granddaughter, Alisha Williams of Lockport; and several nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Ilivanda Harris.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 1-4 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Terry Jenks, pastor of the Maplehurst Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hinsdale Cemetery, Maplehurst, New York.
