Joyce J. Enderle
Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother
Joyce J. Enderle, 79, of 4743 Route 305 South Cuba, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Wellsville Manor Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Born on August 20, 1936, in Hornell, New York she was a daughter of Joseph and Priscilla Hurlbut Jones. On April 16, 1960 in the Horseheads Presbyterian Church she married her husband of 55 years Gary B. Enderle who survives.

Joyce was a graduate of Arkport Central School Class of 1954. She then went to SUNY Geneseo where she graduated in 1958 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.

She taught second grade for three years at Horseheads Elementary School. After she met her husband she was a substitute teacher for several different schools and in 1970 she and her husband moved to Cuba. In addition to being a homemaker, wife and mother she was a substitute teacher for many years at Cuba Central School before retiring.

Joyce was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church where she was involved with the United Methodist Women's Group both locally and with its Mountain View District. Being musically talented she was the church organist and pianist for many years. She was also a Sunday School Teacher.

Active in the Community she delivered Meals on Wheels, was a volunteer for the Cuba Little League and Allegany County Office of the Aging.

Mrs. Enderle enjoyed gardening, canning, helping others when needed, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Gordon C. (Nancy) Enderle of Madison, Wisconsin, and Thomas G. (Amy) Enderle of Brockport; a daughter, Janet E. Enderle of South Dayton; her grandchildren Joshua, Jacqueline, Rhys, Mya, Ava, and Ethan; a daughter-in-law, Debra Enderle of Cuba; three sisters, Anna (John) Roach of Buffalo, Dorothy Dunham of Auburn, and Doris Jones of Gowanda; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son David A. Enderle March 3, 2007 and three sisters, Helen Karr, Mary Thomspon, and Ruth Woodruff.

Friends will be received at the Cuba Untied Methodist Church , 49 East Main Street, Cuba, on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Burton Smith, Jr. will officiate.

Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery, Cuba, New York.
