John T. Gibbons, 67, 39 Medbury Ave., Cuba, passed away December 7, 2017 at home.
Born on February 13, 1950, in Olean, he was a son of John W. "Jack" and L. Marie Bellisle Gibbons. On July 15, 1969, he married the former Lois E. Jacoby who predeceased him. On December 22, 1991, in Cuba he married the former Linda J. Conrad, who survives.

| John was a graduate of Olean High School and attended Alfred State College. He was a proud member of the National Guard. In his younger years he had worked for Ried's Food Barn, AVX, Felmont Corporation, Friendship Dairies, and Cuba Cheese. He then went to work for the Allegany Generating Station in Fillmore, retiring in 2012.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Marie Gibbons of Olean; his children, Scott Gibbons of Illinois, Beth Dewitt of Texas, and Jonathan Gibbons of Pennsylvania; his brother Terry (Bonnie) Gibbons of Portville, four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a brother James L. Gibbons on May 6, 2012.
Friends will be received at the North Park Wesleyan Church, Cuba, on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10-11 A.M. at which time a Memorial Service will be held. The Rev. Jonathan D. Ward, will officiate.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba.
