John A. Dugrenier

John A. Dugrenier, 60, of Cuba, New York passed away peacefully with his sister Tina by his side on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Cuba Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on November 24, 1960, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Philias and Jeannine Cook Dugrenier.

John’s career as a meat cutter began at the Kamery Meats on the East River Road in Olean. From there he had worked for TOPS, Market Basket, and was employed last by Ried’s Food Barn prior to becoming ill. He had also worked for a short time on the Railroad.

He loved to hunt, fish, and watch football. His favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will also be remembered for his sense of humor.

He is survived by a son, John A. Dugrenier, Jr. of Cuba; 2 daughters, Angela (Jeremy) Miklas of Buffalo and Kristi (Chris) Wenrich of Allegany; 5 grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Williams of Simi Valley, California; 2 sisters, Cheri (Sam) Penwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Christina “Tina” (David) Kamery of Olean; and several nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Cynthia Williams.

A Memorial Visitation for John’s friends and family will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 5-7 P.M., at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba.
