Howard J. "Jim" Blouvet
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Loving Uncle
Howard J. "Jim" Blouvet, 78, of 4190 Mossbrook Rd, Friendship, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at home after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.

Jim was born on July 17, 1935, in Wellsville, New York a son of the late Howard L. and Lina M. Scott Blouvet. On December 7, 1962, in Friendship, NY he married the former Lillian L. Stuck who survives.

He attended Friendship Central School. Jim had been employed by local farms in the area, and in 1956 he went to work for the New York State Department of Transportation in Friendship. Starting as a laborer and working his way up to Heavy Equipment Machine Operator. He was very proud to have the tractor trailer position of which he traveled all of New York State delivering machinery. He retired in 1990.

He also enjoyed his John Deere Tractor and his dog "Bear".

In addition to his wife Lillian he is survived by three sons, James "Bradley" (Shilo) Blouvet, Michael (Stacy) Blouvet, and Brain (Heidi Sadler) Blouvet all of Friendship; two daughters, Kim L. Blouvet of Laurel, Maryland, and Dawn (Matt) Tuttle of Friendship; his grandhildren, Amber Blouvet, Leslie (Emily) Blouvet, Jeffery Blouvet, Tegan (Emeris) Kreamer, Craig (Beth) Blouvet, Kyle (Kriston) Blouvet, Jacob Blouvet, Carson Tuttle, and Sabrin Ann Marie Blouvet; his stepgrandchidlren, Haley Patton, Shawn McKinley, Kristina Ordiway, and Dyllan Ordiway; his great grandchildren, Andrea Hint, Karlie Hint, Hunter Hint, Conner Blouvet, Camron Blouvet, Emeris Kreamer, Robert "Jimmy" Blouvet; a step great granddaughter Oakley Willets; a brother, Richard L. (Wilma) Blouvet of Wellsville; a sister-in-law, Edith Blouvet of Pennsylvania; and several nieces nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sons, David J. Blouvet and Jeffery Bruce Blouvet who died in infancy; and two brothers, Corry M. (Alice) Blouvet and Harold E. Blouvet.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. David Szucs will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship, NY.
