Hazel E. Lyman Beloved Mother, Grandmother

Hazel E. Lyman, 102, formerly of 7952 Ramsey Road, Black Creek, NY passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Cuba Memorial Hospital's Palliative Care Program after a lengthy illness.
Born on April 23, 1911, in Groveland, NY she was a daughter of Frank A. and Ethel Van Gilder Gross. On October 3, 1935 she married Parley Lyman who predeceased her in January of 1965.

Hazel had worked for the Ontario Knife Factory in Franklinville and retired from the Olean Tile Plant where she had been a housekeeper.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, search word puzzles, and spending time with family.
Surviving are a son, John (Nancy) Lyman of Black Creek; a daughter-in-law, Betty (Bill) Harmon of Belfast; a sister-in-law, Elva Gross of Wellsville;
five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son Ernest Lyman; and 4 brothers Bernard Gross in 2012, Edward Gross in 2006, Clyde Gross in 1979 and Kenneth Gross in 1986.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2-4 P.M. and on Monday April 7, 2014 from 10-11 A.M. at which time Funeral Services will be held. The Rev. Mark King will officiate.
Burial will be in Hardy's Corners Cemetery, Town of Rushford.
