Harry J. "Buzz" Barton, 88, of 379 Lyndon Center Rd., Lyndon, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, after a lengthy illness.
Born on December 17, 1925, in Portageville, New York he was a son of Harry and Norma DeKay Barton. On July 31, 1959, in Olean, he married the former Sophia Ann Scott who predeceased him on September 23, 2012. They had been married for 50 years in 2009.

Mr. Barton had been employed by Dresser-Rand Corporation of Olean as a fork truck driver for 41 years retiring in 1988.
He was a Mason and member of the Ismailia Temple in Buffalo.
He graduated from the basic pilot program at St. Bonaventure Air Field and enjoyed flying private air planes. He also was an avid hunter and stock car driver in his younger years.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by his siblings Harold, Kenneth, Richard, and Russell Barton, and Charlotte Lucyszyn.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in the Rawson Cemetery, Town of Lyndon.
