Born on November 22, 1934, in Bolivar, she was a daughter of Henry and Ella Cossabone Baker. On August 12, 1955, in Bolivar, she married L. Maurice McCrea who predeceased her in 1994.

Grace was a loving wife and homemaker to her husband and children.

She was a member of the former Richburg 7th Day Baptist Church where she was a Sabbath School Teacher, a 4H leader when her children were young, and along with her husband trained Guiding Eye Dogs for fifteen years. One of her favorite past times was attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren sporting events, and for the past four plus she enjoyed the companionship of her granddaughter Ashlin and her four dogs who took excellent care of her.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Ellen (Jim) Pitts and Cindy (Ron) Smith both of Richburg; four grandchildren, Maureen (Mackenzie) Thorington of Rushford, Michael (Sara) Zilker of Bolivar, Jamie (Tracy) Pitts of Ceres, PA and Eric (Nichole) Pitts of Washington State; great grandchildren, Makayla (Dawson) Gallahger, Mollee (Levi) Weaver, Dawson Thorington, Ashlin (Gracie) Zilker, Allison Zilker, Braden Zilker, Maya Zilker, Jacob Zilker, Zachary Pitts, Jessica Pitts, Katlyn Roose, Madison Roose, and Tyler Pitts; great great grandchildren, Cooper Gallagher, Emlyn Fox, Luca Zilker, and Mason Weaver; a brother, Thomas (Marsha) Baker of Olean; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister Margaret Weber and four brothers Ray, Chuck, Hank, and Lewis Baker.

The family will receive friends at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 S. Main Street, Bolivar, on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 1-3 P.M. A Funeral Service will begin in the Funeral Home at 3. The Rev. Clint Pearsall, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Shinglehouse, will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar, New York.
