Gloria Jean Sadler, 80, of Friendship, New York, went home to Glory, October 21,2021, after, a long-fulfilled lifetime of family and friends. Gloria was surrounded by her children and life long friend Shirley Riehle when she went home to be with Leon and her heavenly family.
She was born to parents Harold M and Frances Newell Reny, on October 18, 1941 in Waterville, Maine.
She graduated from University of NY in 1966 after obtaining her GED.
Gloria had worked at The Friendship Foundry; Acme Electric in Cuba, and then went and got a CDL Driver’s license and drove around the country with her husband Leon as a truck driver for 10 years at which time she retired.
In retirement, she and her husband adopted 5 more children. In 2007 they Started L&G Trucking and turned the business over to her children in 2020.
She was well loved and gifted with various awards and achievements.
Gloria met Leon Earl Sadler in 1958 and were married 6 weeks later on Sept. 4, 1958 in Salamanca New York.
They leave behind 10 children that they raised: Rock Sadler, Cheryle Woodruff, James Marshall-Sadler, Lee Sadler, Melanie Avery,
Her adopted children Amanda Hand April Kirch Deric Avery-Sadler, Joshua Avery-Sadler and Renee Sadler.
Gloria is also survived by brothers: Harold Reny, Michael Reny, William “Billy” Fish, Stephen “Steve” Fish; sisters: Marjorie Reiman, Nancy Sims, Bonita “Bonnie” Anderson; 14 Grandchildren; and 29 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Leon Earl Sadler of 63 yrs. Who passed away December 15th 2020 and is waiting just beyond the moon. Her parents Harold & Frances Reny, two brothers Gary Reny and Rick Reny and 3 sisters Judith “Judy” Bellavance, Betty Reny, and Michelle Brownell.
The family has entrusted Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba New York, with her arrangements. On Sunday October 24, 2021 a graveside service for the immediate family will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship New York, with Pastor Kirk Kirch officiating. A memorial service will be held in the spring for her family, friends and church family.
