Born on December 19, 1939, in Troupsburg, New York he was a son of Robert W. and Rebecca Bliss Taft. He had been married to the former Violet Rose Atwood who predeceased him. Later on December 19, 2001, in Ellisburg, PA he married the former Beverly K. Schoonover who survives.

He was a farm hand in Pennsylvania and held other various jobs throughout his life.

He enjoyed all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his friends and family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns, and listening to old time country music.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his chidlren, Susan Robbin, Glenn William Taft, Jr., Alice (Dennis) Day, Stella Davis and Frank Edward Taft; 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two sisters, Jocelyn Becker and Mona Seamans; his step children, Michael Todd (Brooke) Schneider and Brandy Kay (Trevor) Austin; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and first wife he was predeceased by a brother Russell R. Taft, a sister Margo Johnson, a grandson Justin Anthony Mangine, and a granddaughter Aunjoni Morgan.

There will be no visitation or Funeral Services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
