George L. Edwards, 91, of 9 Grove St., Cuba passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017 after a brief illness.
Born on July 7, 1926, in Cuba, he was a son of Jason and Vella Stevens Edwards. On September 28, 1947 in Cuba, he married the former Elizabeth S. Gilliland who survives.

| George worked as a material analyst for Acme Electric retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Cuba American Legion Post 655 and enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons, Alan (Janet) Edwards of Franklinville, Dale Edwards of Cuba, Michael Edwards of Port Charlotte, Florida and Robin (Tina Zalar) Edwards of Cuba; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a sister, Marie (Bronislaus) Lewandowski of Cuba;
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Jerry, Walt, Jason Jr., Bill, Dorothy, Vera, Verna, Phyllis, and several siblings that passed at birth.
Graveside services will be private.
Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery.
Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba.
