Born on April 16, 1955, in Olean, he was a son of Jack and Marge (Gardner) Morrison. On April 3, 2004, in Richburg, he married the former Diane Cowell who survives.

Doc was a graduate of Bolivar Central Schools Class of 1973.

He was a truck driver his entire career, locally working for Wayne Paving in Ceres and Congdon Trucking in Cuba, prior to his retirement.

Doc loved spending time with his family and will be remembered for being a great husband, father, step father, friend and father figure to many. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, horseshoes, corn hole, and playing hillbilly golf with his grandchildren in the backyard.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Diane, are 4 sons, Dean (Angela) Rhodes of Allentown, John (Melissa McBride) Dunn of Chaffee, Derrick (fiancé Ashley Carpenter) Morrison of Little Genesee and Matt (fiancé Alehia Morgan) Swift of Little Genesee; many grandchildren; a brother, Brian (Jackie) Morrison of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son Dustin Morrison and two daughters Carolyn Rhodes and Erica Fegadel.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 554 S. Main Street, Bolivar, on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon at which time a Memorial Service will begin. The Rev. Roy Elliott will officiate.
