Ford F. Cowden

Ford F. Cowden, 81, of 6421 Crabb Hollow Rd., Black Creek, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Olean General Hospital after a short illness.

Born on July 18, 1940, in Buffalo, he was a son of Frederick and Florence Cowden.

Ford worked his entire career for General Motors prior to his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, sports, with his favorite teams being the Buffalo Bills, and the New York Yankees, mowing, gardening, and taking care of his home and property. In retirement he transported members of the Amish community.

Ford was a social member of the Cuba VFW Post 2721 and the Cuba American Legion Post 655.

He is survived by his longtime loving companion Sandy Green of Black Creek; a son, Richard Joy of Franklinville; a grandson, Jaden Joy; a brother, Patrick (Colleen) Cowden of Clearwater, Florida; ans several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three Sons Ford Cowden, Jerry Cowden, and Johnnie Cowden, whom died in infancy, and a brother Frederick Cowden.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2-5 P.M. only.
