Born on April 2, 1953, in Olean, New York she was the daughter of Richard and Catherine Mullane Burdick.

Sue was a graduate of Friendship Central School and later graduated from Genesee Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice.

After college she was hired by the Allegany County Sheriffs Department and was the first female Deputy Sheriff to be hired in Allegany County, retiring in 2008.

She enjoyed spending time with her daughter at their summer cottage on Rushford Lake. In her retirement, her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events were the center of her life. For many years she carried on the family tradition of being the caretaker of Sacred Heart Cemetery in Friendship.

Surviving are a daughter, Mari "Maggie" (Jason) Stork of Belfast; her grandchildren Connor, Caden, Colin, and Caleb Stork; and her former spouse, Carl Clark.

Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. where funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Deacon Frank Pasquale, will be the celebrant.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Friendship.

In lieu of flowers, the family wish memorials in Sue's name be made to the Hart Comfort House, 141 East State Street, Wellsville, NY 14895.
